  • IP address: Used for rate limiting only
  • Analytics data: Via Vercel Analytics (anonymized)
  • Usage patterns: Features used, timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate AI-powered roasts based on your resolution
  • Send weekly accountability emails (if subscribed)
  • Display your ranking on public leaderboards (if consented)
  • Calculate and track your Reality Score
  • Enforce rate limits to prevent abuse
  • Improve our service through anonymized analytics

3. Consent and Control

We believe in giving you control over your data:

Leaderboard Consent

Your display name, score, category, and country will only appear on public leaderboards if you explicitly opt in. You can change this preference at any time in your dashboard.

Data Usage Consent

With your explicit consent, we may use anonymized, aggregated data (resolution categories, success rates, quit patterns) for research or partnerships. This data never includes your email, name, or actual resolution text.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored on Vercel KV (Redis) with encryption at rest
  • Roast data is automatically deleted after 30 days
  • We use HTTPS for all data transmission
  • API keys and sensitive data are stored in environment variables
  • We do not sell your personal information to third parties

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Anthropic (Claude): AI text generation
  • Google (Gemini): AI image generation
  • Vercel: Hosting, analytics, and data storage
  • Lemon Squeezy: Payment processing

Each service has its own privacy policy. Your resolution text is sent to AI providers for roast generation but is not stored by them beyond the API call.

6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Correction: Update inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request removal of your data
  • Portability: Receive your data in a standard format
  • Withdrawal: Opt out of marketing emails at any time

If you subscribe to our accountability service, you will receive:

  • Weekly roast emails (can be customized or disabled)

We use minimal cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the service to function
  • Analytics cookies: Vercel Analytics (can be blocked)

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

9. Children's Privacy

This service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
